Our Daruma Doll is a traditional Japanese doll that is considered a symbol of perseverance and good luck. It takes its name from the Indian Buddhist monk Bodhidharma, who is credited with establishing Zen Buddhism in China and is often depicted with round eyes.
The Daruma Doll is believed to bring good luck and help people achieve their goals. The act of filling in one eye represents commitment and determination. Once the goal is achieved, the second eye is filled in to signify the fulfillment of the wish or accomplishment of the goal.
This Daruma Doll is a 10cm x 10cm porcelain piggy bank.
